Hi, I am trying to strip a HF 1441 but can't get the cover off. It is loose but it seems something in the centre holds it. Does the large centre nut have to go first? Can't get it loose yet even with some heat applied.

Any clues ??

Michiel, yes - I have sent you a copy of the Lucas Workshop Instructions.

Do not try and force the top off because the lower section of the threaded piece has a hole where the points are located - the diagram in the instructions will make that clear.
