Hi All, On Monday I ordered the four bearings to do the mains on my M21 from Simply Bearings. I have just been informed that the MRJ.7/8C3 in a top quality bearing is now unavailable. They put me on the spot by offering me either a top quality full complement C3 (no cage) or a budget (Chinese) bearing with a cage. Other company's that I've searched only offer the unbranded bearing, I told them I will seek further advice. Has anyone had to overcome this problem.? Mike.
by all means buy the chink stuff if you want to do the job again next month.
[aside from all that, as a personal opinion only, why would anyone want to restore a historic BRITISH machine with chinese substandard stuff? So the next owner can rant on about unreliable british crap?]
