the odd one now and then will not cause problems but lots will say with land rover an old 1960 series 2 replacement sprung chassis 300 tdi engine gearbox axles and defender bodywork one new car mot tax and low insurance

To my mind, that's just registration fraud and is the sort of thing that will destroy the concessions which we now enjoy. It should be subjected to 'Single Vehicle Approval' and issued with a 'Q' (for 'queer') plate.
Couldn't agree more, except that there should be a special subcategory for the irredemably ugly - as long as my wife can't list me under that category
I wonder why he hasn't insured it??
