Hi Are these pannier frames on Ebay # 400490717192 late war.

Think early war, as used on Matchlesses, maybe others?? anyway, they seem to have been bought already?? The guy will have more, used to buy them by the dozen from him! Cheers, Lex

Yes they seem to have been a Matchless design. There is a picture of them fitted to a G3L on page 98 British Forces Motorcycles (New edition). Ron

To my untrained eye I don't see any difference betwen those and the ones fitted to my M20. What differences should we be looking for? Can anyone post pictures for comparison, thanks?

The other type of frame has wing nuts to lock them in place whereas these ones just slide.

Did they use the one that slides on the M20.
I don't think so officially Charlie. But who knows what might have happened in a REME workshop. Ron
I don't know about the slidey ones being a Matchless design but the ones with the wingnuts are undoubtedly a Norton design.
