Does somebody have any factory information about BSA with frame number JM19 2355? It is real barn find found here in Estonia. Almost complete original bike without later parts or restoration. Crankcases are missing though so no engine number present. Most likely M22 but can be also M19. Need to know what engine exactly was in the frame.

I found something very close to your find:

"BSA 1938 M22 500cc 1 cyl ohv
BSA 1938 496 cc OHV SPORTS M 22 frame # JM 19 2321 engine # JM 22299"

The frame is only 35 units away from yours,
So I guess an M22 it is!

Kalle is it posible to send me some pictures of the bike . The M19 was a 350cc engine but most of them where sold with M22 500 cc engines If you have the cylinder bore you know wath type it is Gr. Theo Schipper
