Hi, I'm new to the forum, talked to Henk Joore about buying a BSA wm20 years ago and finally bought a Matchless g3L. I had contact with some British friends and they confirmed it being a wartime Matchless. It doesn't have registration right now. My concern is, it has an 6 digit number stamped in at the head stock and the same number is stamped in the engine right under the barrel.
The wartime Matchless had only 5 digit frame numbers on a different place on the frame under the seat.
If I present it with this number to the inspection station (RDW) and someone tried to register it before, or the number is in use the motorcycle will get rejected, and I will have a problem!
Any suggestions, tips or info on the matter are very welcome.
