Saddle cover hardware

where could a person buy the split rivets and metal strips used to attach the saddle cover to the saddle frame???

bifurcated rivets are easy to find on ebay.

Thanks Henk, the rivets I can find, It's the thin strips of blued steel or whatever the finish was, that I cant find.

Sheetmetal will do the job. Easier to double bend around the frame.

Just for the sake of getting them easily made it would pay you to go to an engineering shop and get them to cut a length of steel on the guillotine then you only have to cut them to length and I'd punch the holes as opposed to trying to drill them as working with such thin material can be tricky

The easyest way wath i have done go to a woodcompany the metal strips for packeging the wood is perfect for the job!

Clamping thin material between two pieces of plywood makes drilling holes through it a straightforward job...Ian
