He's certainly correct in his assumption that the 'YD' post-war registration didn't apply to this machine. Nortons seem to have been 'YB', 'YC' and 'ZB'
There has been some very serious corrosion on that bike. It's really a case of starting from scratch. Logically, it shouldn't end up too expensive.
