Pillion footrests

I am thinking of making my own Pillion footrests for my 1941 WM20 as they are missing from my bike. Has anyone produced any diagrams with measurments which could make my job easier. Many Thanks Jeff

Re: Pillion footrests

Does Ian make these? I'm sure I got mine from him and the price was so cheap that it wouldn't really be worth setting up your lathe and milling machine to make them

Re: Pillion footrests

I had looked around and there did'nt seem to be any readily available, the ebay ones have the rubber on them. I thought it would be a good little project to knock them up with scrap bits from around the workshop, so any dimensions would help this. Thanks Jeff

Re: Pillion footrests

The ones with the rubbers on are usually a smaller diameter than the WD ones, they should be the same diameter all the way along

Re: Pillion footrests

Hi Jeff,

These are so easy to make! I drew them on Autocad and can send you a copy of the drawing.

You will need a torch to heat the "washer end", and a mill to cut flats.
