Off Topic: California BSAOC Clubman's All British Show, M20 & Vindian
Although it's small potatoes compared to motorbike shows in the UK, last weekend was the 26th Annual BSAOCNC Clubman's All British Motorcycle Show here in Northern California. This is the premier British bike show on the West Coast and the season opener of vintage motorcycling events every year.
Always an impressive selection of motorcycles (for the colonies, anyway), this year the featured marque was HRD/Vincent.
Below is a link to a terrific Northern California motorcycling blog titled Occhio Lungo run by friend Pete Young of the Velocette Owners' Club. This particular post covers this years Clubman's Show with plenty of photos and commentary. Note the particularly good looking lad midway down the post standing with the M20.
Also take a close look further down the post of old friend Dennis Magri standing with his Vindian. This is one of only two Vindians (the other is in Australia) based on Phil Irving's hybrid design placing a Vincent engine into an Indian Chief frame. Dennis is a terrific engineer and was the main Vincent serviceman here in Northern California for decades. Read more about the Vindian here:
