!/4" whit/unc cheesehead screws quest...

Does anyone know where I can buy 1/4" Whit x 3" long stainless steel cheesehead screws? A Filister head pattern would be nice as well but I think that may be asking too much. 1/4" UNC cheeseheads by the same length would serve as an alternative..
I can get set screws with a hex head which I could machine down and slot to make screws, but I'd rather not unless I'm forced to..
UK or USA is OK for a supplier if I can get what I'm after.(they are needed on a few BSA gearboxes)....Ian

Ian, Dave Middleton has 1/4 x 3" BSW Cheesehead listed in his catalogue. Wouldn't take much to turn them into Filister on your mangle.
Otherwise I expect Will Horgan can make them to order.

Suggest you also try Les at Russell's. cheers John

John I don't think Les will have anything stainless! Mostly rusty from laying in a damp barn for 65 years. Ron

Re: !/4" whit/unc cheesehead screws quest...

Thanks Ron..I'd like to find a source via an Industrial supplier if possible...they are much cheaper. For example the 1/4"x 3 1/2" hex head set screws I found were only 90p each (for an order 20) and got progressively cheaper as the quantity went up...and I'd like to buy more than 20..but at least I can keep him 'in reserve'...Ian
