Can anyone confirm the threading on the standard gearbox connecting bolt nuts (BSC?)? Mine are in bad shape from trying to keep the box tight. It is a 3/8 nut (supposed to be 3/8x26 I believe), but I can't sort out the threading.

Side note, per an earlier post from Ian, I'm going to try for a thicker and stainless nut and hardened, serrated washer to try to keep the box in place.

Hi Craig...The standard studs and nuts are 3/8"x 26 Cycle thread..It might be worth considering a change to 3/8"x 20 UNF though to give a stronger thread. After al,l the issue is always stripped threads, not loose nuts!...Ian
