Ensign tyres have the thread pattern of original Dunlop Universal tyres. They look the part.

I bought a pair of Ensigns for just over £100 and they've since got the pegs down on a roundabout. I've yet to try them in the wet (fingers crossed that day will never come...) but I'm happy with them and, as you say, they don't look to bad either.
