Location could play into the price also. I am in North Carolina, and the M20 I found was just down the road from me.
I paid $5000 for my running 1944 M20, it came with some spare parts, manuals, very complete down to the metal tea cup. All I have had to buy to complete it was the canvas handle bar grips and the the correct tail light. It stayed on the market for months with no takers, that was a good think for me.
