Because I am a bit pre possessed with M20 girders at the moment and also looking at Andrews bike. I think Andrews front brake anchor bolt is in arse about face. The slotted mushroom head has a shoulder underneath it which fit correctly into the brake plate keyhole slot. Then a locknut fits on the outside. Ron
Yes you are right, that bolt is the wrong way around. I have seen people do that before using the nut to lock the brake plate in place. Not a very handy set up when you have a flat during a trip in the countrysite.
thanks for pointing out the error. I checked my original strip down photos and this is how it was when we bought it ( 1976 ) out of the army 1961 and stored for many years afterwards, so it may have been an Army cock up, who would have thought!! Anyway, I will immediately put it right.
