1941 Matchless ( Front Brake Question)

Hello, My name is Sam and I have a 1941 G3L. The front fork part which accommodates the front brake is out of shape so I think I must try reshaping my front fork, which might prove tedious.
I saw this on modification on a picture on the website any ideas regarding this or any pictures if you can provide?

Re: 1941 Matchless ( Front Brake Question)

Hey Sam,
Thats not a modification, its the '48 onwards type on brake set up. You will have to change the front wheel and at least the fork slider to change to that. It must be easier to repair what you have.
Cheers, Mick.

Sam your top fork shrouds with headlamp brackets are definitely post war. But I can't see what you have as a cable lug? Ron

Look for the correct left side slider, Sam.
