Website pic.

I'm not too good on identifying vehicles from photos..but this photo appears to be taken in late Summer and some of the troops are 'Airborne'...So is this September and part of the Market Garden Operation?....Perhaps 30 corps armoured vehicles?...More information from those that know these things please!..Ian

Just come across this pic as one of a series taken by the same army cameraman, Sgt J Mapham, on D-Day. The caption did not indicate which units they are from, but other pics suggest he came ashore on Sword beach behind 27th Armoured Brigade and 79th Armoured Division. So it is down to someone who can read the tank number better than me to take it a bit further!
