Slack clutch lever syndrome

Hey guys....so I have been enjoying the New Jersey countryside on my WM20 this weekend and today I had slack clutch lever syndrome.
What is this you ask? Well, I don't know either, but what I do know is that the bike shifts fine for the most part, but then for no apparent reason when I shift up the clutch lever will go slack upon release as if it's not returning fully. The bike still goes ok, don't feel any clutch drag per se, but the lever stays slightly slack. At some point the lever will suddenly regain its tension and shift normally.
Any ideas people?

Re: Slack clutch lever syndrome

Hi Erik,

Try to see the answer on this thread by Ian.

I would oil the pushrod first and check it for straightness.

Noam.

Re: Slack clutch lever syndrome

Well, all I can say is that after a nice 20 mile ride the issue didn't repeat and it was way more hot than yesterday and the clutch rod is the correct length since Ian himself supplied it.
The problem seems to be arbitrary.
