Looking for any information available...

Just bought a WM20..the frame number is WM20 30038 and the engine number is WM2011329 I have a letter from the military vehicle trust which states that it was manufactured during May 1941 thats it!. It also has a brass plate below the engine number stamped "sou/2/1/58. Using the data table on the website I came to a c number of C4328554 ? Is there any more info available from these numbers, such as its location during ww2 etc? Help appreciated.

The BSA with frame number WM20 30038 left the factory 16-11-1940, it had matching engine and frame numbers. The engine left the factory 15-12-1939, both engine and frame went to the War Office London.

I would have looked like this bike when new. The tank number would have been C4346630 so pretty close to this bike.

The bike was sold by the military 25-3-1968. The post war military registration number was 21-YD-38.

The keycard states that WM20 30038 was sold off (probably) on the 25/3/68 after finally serving with 230 SQN Royal Corps of Transport.

I have seen rebuild brass plates markes "SOU" before, I wonder if it means "Southern Command"?
