Bjorn, I have a nice length of straight ally channel for the job. But a straight plank will do. You place the plank so that it touches both tyres fore and aft. You adjust the back wheel accordingly so as to achieve this and also make sure you chain tension is correct. It's a bit more difficult if your tyres are different sizes. You can either add a strip to your plank of half the difference of the tyre widths....or just site it. Also if your plank is too wide to go through the rear stand, you might have to ask your buddy or wife to hold the bike up from the other side. Ron
