Hi,
What material would the kickstart Quadrant bush in the outer gearbox cover be made of? Mine has a steel one but it is a loose fit in the cover and the quadrant is a loose fit in the bush. I'm not sure how much wear there is so thought the best option would be to get a new bush machined up to suit. Thanks guys.

Hi Mike..The original bushes (which you most likely have) were steel, hardened and then ground to finished size. Unless it is really slack in the cover some retaining fit Loctite is sufficient to hold a new bush in place. It is likely the kickstart quadrant shaft is worn, as well as the inside diameter of the bush. I think Henk has some NOS bushes in the 'for sale' section of the main website...Ian

If Henk doesn't have it try David at Modak motorcycles in Melbourne .
He does mail order but you have to nice to him to get anything out of him.
