I've had a look at what has been posted in the past regarding tank insignia, and the why's and wherefore's rights and wrongs etc but dont seem to see any references to sizes. Opinions invited as to what size square for a formation sign. Cheers.

I have seen a reference somewhere, possibly in Hodges & Taylor "British Military Markings" but I can't find it at the moment.

But I do have this original Airborne vehicle marking transfer which measures 5" wide by 5 3/8" high or 4 9/16" wide by 5" high for the square marked on the backing paper which could be motorcycle or Jeep size?
