Can anyone confirm that this is a KM20 side-stand please.
It has 27-6074 BSA, cast into it, and is about 5 1/2" long.

Hi Ron..The 1940 parts list shows the sidestand as 27-6073 for the M20..Another case of the part number being one out from the forging number like the con rod etc.?..Ian

Cheers Ian. I was sure it was one of those little side stands. I suppose though that most military M20's would have been fitted with a field stand. Any clue as to when the change took place? Ron

Hi Ron..I met a French guy in Normandy one year who had a totally original pre Dunkirk M20..a barn find..It had both the short sidestand and the finned rear hub..I would think the stand went in 41 when the M20 started to change from the 'deluxe' based bike...Ian
