After enjoying a good and usually smooth gearbox for about 4 years,
Suddenly I experience from time to time a situation where usually when I gear down before traffic lights,
The gear lever gets stuck- no up or down movement at all, and the bike is very hard to move.
It’s like the rear wheel is almost stuck, but no gear is engaged and if the engine is off and you push the bike,
It doesn’t try to revolve the engine.
In short-
It’s like a very hard neutral gear.
After pushing and pulling the bike and playing with the lever,
It frees somehow.
Happened to me twice.
The gear was filled with oil and never dry.
It's really hard to say, as, as you know we do those actions mechanically with no special attention,
But I think it happens between 3rd and 2nd gears.
Noam.
BTW,
I don't know if it's relevant,
But at the same time it was starting to be harder to put into 1st gear. I have to kick it up few times
in order to get it out of neutral, more when it's hot.
I have all clutch plates, but it is separating perfectly with no drag at all.
