Daft I know, but no daft questions right. Removing the barrel Head off All bolts undone Valve lifter cable removed, but lever left on Valves all still inplace in the barrel Exhaust off What amI missing? I'm pulling it but it isn't coming off and don't want to pull really hard, for fear of breaking something else..doh!

Have you done the one nut in the tappet chest?

Looks like the EX valve adjuster: The washer around it prevent taking it off cause it crushes with the lifter. If all 5 nuts are out, then take off lifer or exhaust tappet head, and barrel should be able to be removed. Noam.

Yup taken that nut off too, hmm will try again..
Try bolting the head back on and cranking. That has worked for me in the past.
