Just curious, did the Vokes filter usually have TUBULAR AIR FILTER in big white letters across the top?
I bought a small brass plaque off e-Bay to mount on the top of my Indian-made repro (the plaque is about 10 times better quality than the filter box), Which is correct??

I assumed that it was a tribute to Mike Oldfield. You'd certainly end up with 'Tubular Balls' if you slid up on the fuel tank !
