Is there enough interest to have another batch of solid copper head gaskets made? If there is I will go ahead and get them done, I guesstamate they will probably work out at about £11 to £12 each but anyone that has had these in the past know that the quality is 24 carrot. I will be going to Sweden to the Jampot rally in August but I will be running the BSA open day this year at Leicester Forest East Rugby Club on the weekend 25th-27th May, if anyone is interested in attending this, camping £5 per night, ride out Saturday with hot buffet at a Ghurka restuarant, hog roast and entertainment, real ale Saturday night, autojumble on the Sunday. This will be in the Star magazine and OBM later this month.

The head gasket on my Big4 is made from a piece of copper from a hot water cylinder. I must admit, a friend cut it for me. I'm just too lazy!!!! Ron

So for the uneducated amongst us how do you make your own copper gasket? Same as a paper gasket, gently tap with a hammer around the profile?

I have a small batch of finished and unfinished head gaskets. A friend of mine started this production but didn't finish it, I have it for a while now but didn't do much with it either. I must be kind of lazy too.

Hi John. I'm not meaning to trample on your efforts. I did have one from your last batch as a spare for my M20.

The last small batch that I ordered from Lani for me and Ian cost us £15 each including shipping. They get cheaper the more you order. Obviously he has had a price increase.

No! can't better your price now. But Lani was the cheapest I could find before you. Also I thought the post issue to the states might tip the balance...but perhaps not.
