WM20 COPPER HEAD GASKET - THICKNESS?..

Hello all !

Any idea about the recommended solid copper head gasket thickness
For an WM20 with a standard engine? 016" .021" .026" .032" .042"...
Is it recommended to go for the thinnest one, in order to raise comp-ratio?
I am using octane 95 fuel, no ethanol and stuff.
(With and with no sidecar, if it matters for heat or else)

Thanks,
Noam.

1mm thick is the right thickness to use to ensure the correct squish clearance when running...Ian

Related head gasket questions

If an original head gasket is in good shape, is it satisfactory to anneal it on a soft flame and reuse?

Also, is a solid head gasket preferable to the newer laminated ones?

thanks,

Kevin
