Off Topic - Triumph T100R (1972)

Hi All

I'm hoping that amongst you all - someone might have a photo of the underseat area of a Triumph T110R, especially the area concerning the rectifier and the flasher unit (Indicator relay)

I have found photos of almost every other model, except the 72 version with the spring mounted flasher unit

Can anyone help, you might have one in your garage ?

I believe the 650 (Non oil in frame) model had the same basic layout

Many Thanks

Re: Off Topic - Triumph T100R (1972)

The Roy Bacon Triumph Twin restoration book has photos of the underseat area on most models. I've got a copy but it's at work so I won't be able to look until tomorrow

Re: Off Topic - Triumph T100R (1972)

Hi guy/dave

I checked my Roy bacon book too but no joy

It's just not clear where the spring mounted indicator flasher is mounted

If anyone knows I would be grateful to find out

Re: Off Topic - Triumph T100R (1972)

I'm looking at the 1972 650 twins workshop manual which has a drawing of the positioning of the flasher unit. Not sure how different this is to the 500?
Page E9 of manual No. 99-0947.
Can email you a screenshot of the page if you like?

I seem to remember that it hung downwards off the coil tray

Re: Off Topic - Triumph T100R (1972)

Hi dave

It hangs somewhere in the battery box area under the seat

Looks like it should be attached to the battery box itself but the stud there is too large

Chris mine is a '72 USA east coast model so is equipped with flashers

Thanks for your help - much appreciated

Re: Off Topic - Triumph T100R (1972)

indicator units are usualy bolted to the frame or something fairly strong to transmit the units click

Re: Off Topic - Triumph T100R (1972)

If you need the clip that holds it, they are the same as Harley Davidson circuit breaker ones, available from most Harley shops
