Base workshops

I see that Base Workshop 2 was in Tel El Kebir. Can anyone tell me what country this was?

it seems that these workshop numbers have disappeared over the year the REME museum have a few numbers but i think these are mainly of the big base workshops the number that the ministry of supply gave to the civian run/ small workshops are lost within the achives i went to kew to see if i could find anything but no luck

This is quite ahandy list of post-1945 workshop codes. It seems that Tel-el-Kebir was in use until 1956.
