Forum Pictue of BSA burial?

Th ecaption says October 1940. But was the steel motor cyclist helmet not introduced late 1942 and made its way to motorcyclists only in 1943?

So the picture was taken in 1943 or later, imho.

And have a good New Year.

Rob

My plans for 2012: to get both 16H's on the road, get petrol tanks in repro for my Welbike and finsih that one, and at least get one of my ML's and RE 125 on the road too.

Also the guy in the white helmet? is he an MP? I thought they had just the normal "green" helmet with a red band & MP on it. Anyone update me.

Re: Forum Pictue of BSA burial?

Could the civilian be a representative of Pounds or similar scrap/surplus dealer?

Would still be nice to known when and where the photograph was taken, as the white helmet is not a common CMP item during the war?
