Levers

What brake, clutch , air and magneto levers would be period-correct for late 1943/early 1944 ?
Also valve lifter lever?
I have a mismatched set. Curious what would be correct ones.

Re: Levers

Hi,

What you purchased is a Bowden lever, the part number on the tag is from the parts book of a Matchless G3L, contract S.1050.

As to what is correct for your M20, the forum picture of the is a good guide because it has a full set of the standardised Amal levers.

The Amal lever 18-130 looks like a clutch lever, they never made a brake lever. They just fitted the clutch one upside down, i.e. pivot bolt up through.

Post war replacements, Amal made stamped steel versions that are green painted and I have seen both clutch and brake versions complete with the tag showing part number 18-130.

Hope this helsp.
