That's terrible Henk! It looks to me like they've used chain to secure the Fleas......What about the paintwork.

Re: Look at this, pretty cool photo for the airborne nuts.

This is alleged to be part of an original tie down fitting from a Horsa glider which crashed at "Ducklinton" (Ducklington?) near Whitney, note the brass loops with remains of steel cable.

On my original you can read the "Mansfield" tag on the saddle cover, have also pictures with "Wrights" covers.

Guess what the officer is doing?? (not what it says on the back!)

Thanks for the hold down picture Rob!

What about the paintwork Ron?? They're made to be thrown out of an airplane!!!!

Cheers,

Just my joke with Henk. He always wants to hang one of those security chains against his paint Ron

Re: Look at this, pretty cool photo for the airborne nuts.

If you threw a Flea and a Welbike out of an aeroplane, which one would hit the ground first ?

...Who cares anyway ?

Re: Look at this, pretty cool photo for the airborne nuts.

Neither, at the price of spares today, somebody would use their body to cushion the fall!

Rik if you had one of these on your rear carrier, you'd be able to get home next time the Norton breaks down Ron

Re: Look at this, pretty cool photo for the airborne nuts.

A very good question Jon, I can only think of "Central Intelligence Agency".

I wonder if this forum has just been flagged up at Langley because I typed that.
