Nisonger has rebuild all the instruments I have had on various cars: '58 MGA, '52 MGTD, 68 BSA Starfire. They are going to get my Commando items too when the time is right.
I wish I could do it Douglas, I had a look a my speedo, everything was moving except the needle. I couldn't work out why it wasn't working so sent it off. I don't like being beaten by it, but I also realised I could do more harm than good as it was very fragile.

I'm with you here, unfortunately I have some old clocks (timepieces) in boxes, that I haven't the patience or skill to reassemble.
What about a clock/ watch shop?
Vincent
Yes, someone I know has just had a speedo repaired at a local clock shop and they didn't charge very much. What a great idea. I always find these things out after I've done mine.
Out west in San Diego I have used these guys for a number of my old British instruments with good result. Not a fancy website but it is a small shop that's been around a long time...
