Reamer size Ian?

What would be the correct size of the reamer required for the conrod small end bushing?

Ian, I guess you would know and also where to get it best.

Re: Reamer size Ian?

Hi Henri...The small end bush is 3/4" (.750" nominal)..However, with a fixed size reamer you run a real risk of it cutting either under or oversize. I use an adjustable reamer if the crank is assembled and bring it up to size gradually.
If I have the rod out of the engine they are honed to size...Ian

Re: Reamer size Ian?

It is out and the new bush installed, the NOS pin inserts but may have to be forced. Guess heating is next option.

Re: Reamer size Ian?

Hi Henri,

I have a set of adjustable reamers that will do the trick. I'd be happy to loan them to you.

Cheers

I owe ya anyway......

Re: Reamer size Ian?

Thanks Robb, just need the one for that size, not much to use before it comes up to specs. Just want to run it through as if I knew what I was doing.
