What is the standard size of the needle jet for a 1940 wd 16h? I know that the part number is 4/061 but don't know the size. Jet's size is 170.

The Amal literature all states simply 'Needle jet - Standard' Isn't it a 106? What have you got at the moment ? The size should be engraved on the side. It can be quite lightly done and hard to see.
It's too faint to tell! What size do you use? Maybe 107 is better? It's exactly the middle of the available sizes...
Kostas/Rik I just sent you a scan from the latest Amal cat. It's a 4/061 106. Ron

I have a 106 in but that replaced a late-war stainless jet marked 106,5 and to be honest I couldn't really notice any difference.
Stainless carb jets?...I must have one ...Ian

You're welcome to it Ian, it's one of the special oval orifice type (a bit like racing Honda pistons !)
