Hi, could anyone tell me what these numbers mean on my WM20 barrel? They are BOVB338 and BOVB455, thanks for your help in advance, Barry

the b338 and b455 might be MTRS number Motor Transport Repair Shop these bikes/ vehicles were stamped with these numbers when they have been through major repairs ie stripped down on an assembley line and put together at the other end this is why most motorcycle engines and frames dont match some of these workshops were run by civilians is there a brass plate in the tool box i could sent you a photo of one if you want roger

hi riger thanks for the info. there is no brass plate, not sure if its the same thing but i do have a small plate with the contract number on it?
