british motorcycle production 1938

hi,i turned up this wonderful picture,i was rather hoping that these machines are bsa vee twins awaiting dipatch,im not capable of blowing the image up to pick out finer detail(looks like regitration numbers are on some),so i'll leave that to those who know how cheers rick http://www.vintagebike.co.uk/pictures/motorcycle-production-in-1938/

I believe that the photo has appeared on here before in the dim and distant past, probably now lost (or rather thrown away by 'Bravenet'.

It's not a production photo as the bikes are clearly used and have different tyre types, showing wear.

The registration numbers are Middlesex sequences from the 1930s, was used by the authorities and the bikes do look to be War Office twins.

The picture will probably have been taken in an RAOC or RASC stock depot.

if this was the 1960s they would probably still be in the wharehouse they could even still be there well we can still hope
