AMAL for BSA M20 1940

Hi

Im gona intrudust my self, because I am her for the first Time. I come from Slovenija, I am 34 Years old, have a pasion for old cars and motorcycles, I am a member in a Oldtimer club and you can check out this website www.motoklub-veterani.si and go under "Fotogalerija" to see what we do.I have an BSA M20 which i am gona to restore. Parts that are missin:
- Wheels
- front and rear fender
- Dynamo
- Magnet
- Carburettor
- and some fork details
I have a question is a AMAL Carburetor 276 DB /1A good for this Model?

Hello Mitja. I'm not a BSA man so I can't help much with specifics but I have got a copy of the Amal fitments.

The 276DB/1A will probably not be suitable. It was fitted to 1947 - 54 Royal Enfield Model J2s ( a 500cc Overhead valve model).

It has a larger bore (1 1/16" instead of 1") and has a longer stub to the engine (1" longer, approx 25mm)

I think that you'd be better off looking for a correct body.
