I have a several timing covers- and wondering on the dates of usage.
Engine numbers indicate 1940.
One that came on the engine has the small plain BSA script and a large hole, with threaded cap , removable for removing timing gear. When was that used/ introduced?
One has plain script only and no hole.
One is much later, post war, with large BSA winged logo instead.
Curious about changeover dates..
