In case the Timken bearings are unavailable or consifdered too expensive, the Triumph sitew run by Arnold Hoekmeier has dealt with a similar problem for the Triumph front wheel bearings:see http://www.wdtriumph.nl/Wheelbearings.html for the Triumph conversion.
Maybe some of the cleverer types could inform us on the soultion for BSA?
