I am planning to visit Pickering for the 40's weekend in October, has anyone been before or attending this year? Not sure of the format or best events to attend.
Any advice most welcome.
Pete
Yes, we are going (5 of us) it's our first time, but we are told that it's one the very best to attend.
There is a parade on the saturday morning if you wanted to join in, I'm told it leaves *Lady Lumley school* at 11am, but you need to be there some time prior to get sorted out.
I'm not taking the bike, as we want to get about and see things together, so this time I'll me a Merchant Navy Capt, the Son is a Lieutenant, son-in-law is a Chief Petty Officer, Daughter will be 1940's lady, and sons Girlfriend is a USAF female ground controller.
We've hired a 6 berth static caravan for the Friday & Saturday about 5 miles out of Pickering.
