Chain lubricator over spill !!!

Hi All,
When the bike is running to much oil is flowing through the oil pipe to the chain. I have drained the crank case and changed the oil. What causes this..?

Thanks

Re: Chain lubricator over spill !!!

Ian hi,
Sorry new to all this. It's a m20. Have cleaned check valves(A) emptied crank case oil
Still over oiling when running. What have I missed.

Thanks

Re: Chain lubricator over spill !!!

Hi Glen..the crankcase breather on the M20 isn't actually a chain oiler...it should just vent onto the road behind the chaincase.
If you have recently drained the crankcase you will need to do a few road miles before everything returns to normal and the crankcases are fully scavenged.
Also if you have recently had a rebore it is not uncommon for them to blow some oil from the breather until the rings are fully 'run in'..that will normally stop, or at least reduce, after around 250 miles....Ian

Re: Chain lubricator over spill !!!

Ian,

I thank you. I will be riding the bike for a few miles this weekend.

Cheers again for the rapid reply.

Hope all is well.
