Looking over the diagram of the rear field stand clip, it looks to me like the clip actually mounts to a small bracket- in front of the mudgyard stays. I was expecting to bolt mine right to the frame stud, but it makes more sense now that there would be a mounting bracket.
Does anybody have a picture of the little extension bracket? Dimensions? Thanks.

You need 66-4721 Prop stand clip plate; not too difficult to make , I can make a sketch if you wish.

Also worth noting is that little plate is slightly bent on purpose and should be fitted with the bend in the correct direction.

Yes, the purpose of the bend is to turn the field stand clip so that it lies at 90 degrees to the stand leg when the leg in the raised position...Ian

I have a repro clip but I question the material, looks like mild steel and not spring steel.
