hi can anyone tell me if theres a diffrerence between 66-480 and 66-481 as all my con rods are 481 ,but the book says 480, please enlighten me

I brought this subject up ages ago. No one really seemed to know why the number 66-481 is cast into the rod. Maybe that is the part number for the bare cast rod before machine work?
But certainly one of these NOS rod assemblies is running in my M20. Ron

I also note in the Draganfly spares catalogue they quote:-

66-480 Con rod with bushes (marked 66-481) 1938-63
66-481 con rod with big end assembly 1938-63
