Hi Roger...I think blasting is the most common and effective form of removal these days. There are some new plastic based media now specifically designed to remove powder coating and other tough finishes. You just have to find 'a man who can' in your area..Ian

Normally standard paint remover will do the trick, and a lot quicker then blasting!
