Hi
I am in the process of replacing the head steady on the M20. Can anyone help/advise re the fittings - part numbers and any bolts/studs and nut sizes needed to fix the head steady both at the cylinder head and onto the frame.
Any advice on what size nut(s), bolts/studs would be much appreciated.
Hi Mark..At the engine end the head steady is secured by one of the cylinder head bolts...at the frame end it connects to the main frame bolt under the saddle that secures the back of the frame to the front. So, the fasteners required are part of the existing structure of the bike...Ian
I can't remember of the top of my head the TPI of this stud...it is cycle thread and will be either 20 or 26 TPI. Measure the number of threads over 1/4" and multiply by four to get the correct figure...you shouldn't have any difficulty determining which it is....Ian
