Support stud

These studs 65-6794 were missing from my bike; they were still in de bin "Unknown" until I found the drawing detailing the mounting of the panniers.
I think there is not much material between the bottom of the hole (18mm) and the stud; isn't this a weak point?

Hans. No not at all, this was made when we had good steel in England, before the Indians & Japanese started offloading crap on to us.

Found a nearly new one, definitely 5/8" CEI !

Both internal and external threads are 5/16 British Standard Cycle (same as Cycle Engineers Institute)

26 TPI by 60 degrees included angle.
