Norton piston rings

Can anyone tell me where I might be able to buy some 16h Norton piston rings. Many thanks John

Re: Norton piston rings

Hi John...Russell Motors are likely to have some...they still have plenty of Norton stock. They won't fit your Big 4 though...or are you coming down with a worrying case of 'Nortonitis?' Take the Model X for a nice ride around Plumstead once a week for the next month and you should get over it.. ..Ian

Re: Norton piston rings

Ian, alas Russells do not have any. I used to get my rings from Rick Edwards but very saddly he died a couple of days ago. I will keep looking. The X outfit is going well and I am amazed it kept running in Normandy given that I hadn't touched the engine. It's much smoother and more powerful than the Norton. Cheers John

Re: Norton piston rings

In that case I would try Bantam John (01278 457652)...he took over the stock of Norton Single specialists Dragon Services and has probably the largest stock of original pitons/rings for all makes in the country. I have used him a number of times for original stuff..Vale Onslows are always worth a call as well...Ian

Re: Norton piston rings

Have you tried Gaggs of Nottingham (0115 9786288). I was there a couple of weeks ago, they still have shed loads of NOS rings, Alan and Arthur are very helpful blokes as well.
Cheers, Mick
