BSA WM20s in Spain

I'm trying to relocate to southern Spain at the end of this year, just for the Winter. Can't really face the British greyness anymore, etc. Some of you will know that feeling. Have just returned from the Cote d'Azur, which was nice (and even Nice). But expensive, and a little congested.

However, I've no experience of motorcycling in Spain - and no real experience there at all except for a week's holiday some years back.

So, does anyone have any tips, advice, warnings, etc about biking/living down there? I particularly want to have the M20 with me and explore a few backroads at a slower pace.

Some contacts would be appreciated too; ideally M20 contacts. Hope someone out there can offer some insights. Thanks.

Re: BSA WM20s in Spain

Hi, I'm from the south of southern Spain, Andalusia, Seville. The climate here is mild in winter depending on area, and there is no overcrowding of tourists, many British residents in winter, especially in coastal areas. The warmest regions are Seville, Malaga, Cadiz and Huelva. All provinces have many roads to enjoy the scenery and cuisine with your bike. I'm restoring my bsa for a year I hope to finish this winter. If you decide to spend some time in Andalusia and need help let me know. Greetings

Re: BSA WM20s in Spain

Hi Chapagrande, thanks for that. If we get down to that area, I'll certainly send you an email. Maybe we could get together for a drink or something. Are there any shops or garages down there that specialise in classic bikes? Also, what are the drivers like? Fast? Slow? Dangerous? Also, is it generally a reasonably safe place to be biking around? Any advice appreciated.

Re: BSA WM20s in Spain

Hello, Andalusia is very large, we have 800 km of coastline, thanks to good weather there is much love of motorcycle racing organize a championship in the world of Moto GP in general is very safe to go on a bike and all gareges cities have to keep the bikes. Pilots are of all types, fast and slow. I do not know any classic bike shop, but if meetings are held, routes and trade classic motorcycles. If you come around here do not hesitate to count on me for a drink or to make a bike path
